All churches need money in order to function – and the greater our income the more we can extend our ministry and mission. The members of the PCC (Parochial Church Council) are legally the Trustees of the Church’s finances and are responsible for ensuring that the church is financially sound and that our income is spent wisely.

The Church is a registered charity (no. 1130094).

How can I help?

Our work is dependent on the generous giving of members and friends of the church. Christians believe that the Bible provides guidance on giving. However, at CtK no one is compelled to give to the Church although we do believe that those who love Jesus and are committed to our work for Him will most definitely want to.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7)

There are a variety of ways by which you can give to the Church:

However you give, whether it’s monthly by standing order, via the envelope scheme or one off donations the value of your gift to the Church can be increased by 25p for every £1 you give by using the Government’s Gift Aid scheme. To be eligible you must pay sufficient Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in any relevant tax year. Download information about Gift Aid Background 2016.  Gift-Aid-Background-2016v1.pdf (80 downloads)

For Gift Aid forms see the relevant section below.

Regular Giving By Standing Order:

This is the often the most effective way of supporting the church, as you can plan your giving. The Diocese of Peterborough assists us by operating a centralised scheme – you can make payments to the Diocese’s Gift Aid account, and if you have made a Gift Aid Declaration it claims the tax back monthly and makes a monthly payment to the Church. If you would like to give in this way, please click on one of the links below, download the form and when you have completed it please leave it in the Office/Treasurer pigeonhole in the Church foyer.

Please don’t send forms direct to your bank so that we can give your bank the Diocese’s reference.

One-off gifts: You can make a ‘one-off’ gift by cash or by a cheque payable to “The PCC of the Church of Christ the King Kettering”. If you have already signed a Gift Aid Declaration to cover regular monthly giving you do not need to sign any further forms but simply tell us that your gift is covered.
